The Nightblade team is currently recruiting for the below positions. We are looking for people that are capable of producing a quality of work that is expected from BCG. If you are interested in joining the team you may send me a PM here, start a new thread in this forum, or send me an email at B745@sbcglobal.net. Please include some information about yourself, your skillset, and include previous work that you have done for other mods or in general. If you have any questions about the positions or about Nightblade, also feel free to contact me.

3D Modellers

We're using a number of old Thievery models, for loot, household items, decorations, furniture and so on. These objects are badly in need of an update.

We need several people to join the team and create a variety of new objects for our mappers to utilize in the game. Specifically, we are looking for one person that specializes in character models.

Modelers need to have some knowledge on:

Any 3d software package (it should be able to export to .ase)
Low-poly modelling
Unwrapping/Texture layout
Normal/Parallax/Specular
Importing into UT3 with shader knowledge is a plus, but not required.

Texture Artist

We're also using a number of old textures. Most of these are just plain 256x256 textures. It'd be great if some of the more common ones were replaced with better quality textures, complete with normal maps and specular where appropriate.

Previous work with art and texture design is a must. Please send some of your previous work if interested.

Animator

We do have several character models completed except for the animations. We are looking for someone to animate the guard and thief models to create smooth movements and fit seamlessly into the gameplay.

If you have experience animating please send us a copy of your previous work.

Coders

We are looking for several coders to finish creating the custom gameplay that Nightblade requires. In particular, we need someone with experience coding AI behavior. This is a challenging task as the AI in Thieves vs Guards gameplay can be complex.

Previous experience with Unreal Script is always a plus, but isn't necessary. Certainly familiarity with some Object Oriented language, like Java or C#, and some code demonstrating your code style will be required. Please send us a copy of your previous work if interested.

Mappers

We are looking for several mappers to create fresh content for Nightblade. While Nightblade is loosely based on Thievery and the Thief series, creativity is encouraged in thinking outside the box of the maps that have been done in the past. While mappers will have the resources of 3D modellers to assist in map creation, some previous knowledge with 3D modelling is highly recommended.

If you are interested please send us a copy of your previous map work.

Sound/Music

We are looking for someone who specialises in sound effects to help the team create a realistic sounding gaming experience that is on par with the work done on Thievery and the Thief series. Many of the sounds currently in use have been imported directly from Thievery and are of low quality for today's standards. Much of the music for Nightblade is complete, but if you have experience creating ambient music for the canon we are going for, feel free to submit your work to us.

If you have experience working with sound effects and recordings please send in your previous work.
