Can't get alienswarm to start

Whenever I click on Alienswarm.exe is begins to load but then I get an error message saying that says "
Failed to enter AlienSwarmStartup.ut2: Can't find file 'AlienSwarmStartup.ut2'." But I know the file exists becuase I've found it in the maps folder.

You most likely had not installed one of the UT2004 patches when you installed AlienSwarm. So install the UT2004 patch if you haven't yet (either of the patches would do), and then delete AlienSwarm.ini under UT2004\AlienSwarm\System.
