what Big said. could also mean you extracted the zip wrong, Can't find file 'AlienSwarmStartup.ut2' makes it look like your maps arnt in the ut2004/alienswarm/maps directory

You'll probably need to delete UT2004\AlienSwarm\System\AlienSwarm.ini after installing the correct patch.
