Goodday people,

I would just like to inform you that the US military has shown a certain amount of interest in this strategic combat simulator, you might start seeing undercover military personel playing this game during a period of 3 months, do not be alarmed.

Oh, and I'm very honored that you have named this particular forum after me,

dismissed!

I should think this game would be very popular with Congress.

Here we go ! That's the perfect proof that the nature of capitalistic oppression never changed in history , obviously they find the barbaric medieval guarding method suitable for the 21th century.

Welcome, Welcome. Do come in, won't you General?

Just make yourself at home, and i'll pop back in a minute with a bit of refreshment.

Obviously not. The grammar is too refined, the spelling too correct. The General talks in complete sentences, isn't being offensive and does not seem to have the IQ of your average brick wall. And he is capable of at least some witticism.
No, this is either not a myg0t or, by their standards, an extremely good actor. Case closed.

Welcome, General! Take a seat, have a cookie.

What if we made an army of guys with wirecutters, water bombs, and blackjacks and sent them in to quietly take out Al-Qeda?

Hey, yeah! After all, as we've all seen so many times, the blackjack is the ULTIMATE weapon!!

They were about to do this to Sadam when Clinton was in office, but for some reason they were called back right before they were about to strike. It's too bad they didn't finish, if for no other reason than those helpless people who actually have to live in that country.

You can't be serious...
What is the U.S military going to learn from a bunch of taffers? Sneak into the middle east and steal weapons of mass destruction? If our allies are playing computer games us aussies are buggered!

8) They do play video games...a lot more than you might think! Unless you really want to get drunk every night, play D&D or M:TG there isn't too much to do depending on where you are stationed in the military. So a lot of them have computers and play...video games.

On top of that, the military is always making military games to simulate tactical situations of one sort or another. One I played in particular looked a lot like CIV, but with bad graphics, and almost text-based...(this was a few years ago.) It was pretty neat, you could call for air support, and see what would happen if a destroyer targeted a company of soldiers.

Of course, there are a few military-made promotional games out now, and many mods/maps endorsed by the military to their marines/soldiers/sailors/airmen to promote tactical thinking...and your mother said video games would rot your brain!

I guess you didn't hear that the Australian army was one of the people who bought Virtual Battlefield Sytem (along with the US Marines) - in other words, Operation Flashpoint, with replays :p (okay, and improved physics, damage modelling, bloody good graphics improvements etc. ...)

I'm not rich. Therefore, Republican-style tax "breaks" won't save me any money.
