This thread will hopefully address some of the fairly common questions about Alien Swarm: Infested. Anything in this thread has been officially confirmed, and I'll try to keep it updated with new information.
When will Alien Swarm: Infested be released?
When it's done.*
Does this new project mean that Alien Swarm for UT2004 will be abandoned?
No. Black Cat Games will support critical issues with Alien Swarm for UT2004, but most of our effort is directed at AS:I currently.
Will basic gameplay be different from Alien Swarm for UT2004?
No. Alien Swarm: Infested will retain the basic gameplay concepts -- it will still be a cooperative multiplayer squad level game with an overhead view.
Will Alien Swarm: Infested make use of the physics in the Source engine?
Yes, although exact details have not yet been revealed.
How will Alien Swarm: Infested be distributed?
It will be available over Steam.
