Nice idea- really- but I think that the game will be too simple for thieves because they will be dropping loot very often. It will be better when guards can find this loot and take back but I suppouse it's not simple to implement.
I suggest to discuss about it because this change will considerably change the gamestyle.

I agree that it's a good idea at face value. In both public play and at a high level, Thievery inherently favoured guards in normal sized games. Anything that might redress the balance and encourage objectives should be seen as a good idea.
Speculating as towards the effects of the change seems premature at this stage, seeing as the features aren't complete. I will say however that guarding the exit and ambushing thieves stashing loot could be a viable strategy, as would anticipating when thieves might choose to stash their loot, for instance after they secured an important area.

The only thing that concerns me about this mechanic is seeing guards hanging around exits all day long waiting for thieves to drop their loot.
Perhaps this could be resolved by allowing each thief to drop loot only once per life, or perhaps only once per match.

Does it have to be dropped in the exit? Because I fear then it will be piled up in Thief-only areas that need a vine to get to them. I think guards should have a fair chance to get it back.
Or perhaps, dropping loot should be timed. Perhaps you want to give your loot to a team mate so you drop it and the team mate has normal loot respawn time to pick it up again... just like if you died. Or perhaps right click on a thief and a menu comes up to trade inventory items and loot.

This feature would be a good addition, since it would allow the map maker to raise the ammount of loot there has to be stolen, plus it would allow him to make a bigger map. (Smaller maps would mean the loot would be scattered, but would be piled up at certain places.)
If there is more loot to be stolen, more loot that you have to steal and there is a bigger map, i wouldnt see why the gaurds would need theyre loot back, theyve propably still got plenty of it.

I kinda like the loot storage. If a thief can get to the exit with the loot and the guards don't catch them, that's on the guards. I don't think guards should get the chance to recover that stashed loot, because they've already failed.
I think the only problem I have with it though is if there's a guard waiting for a thief to stash loot in that exit, it's not very realistic if the thief just charges in knowing they can stash that loot while they get chopped to pieces. Perhaps stashing loot should take about ten seconds to complete?

This will make the game faster and more action oriented, since you won't need to sit around trying not to die. Instead you'll be moving back and forth to the exit, which is time consuming and will allow guards to play on time more.
