Sword stops working after certain number of button clicks

If as a guard you click the mouse button to attack with the sword, after a certain number of times, the sword stops responding. I tried it a few times and it happened every time.

Yeah, I had this problem when I joined the guards. I was hacking on an open door with my sword testing the sounds and stuff when it stopped working.
