Tripwire

What do you guys think about a tripwire? A thief would have to place it between two objects (in a doorway, between two lamp posts, etc.). It would take a couple seconds to set it up. A thief can't trip over a tripwire but guards can. When a guard trips, it should take him a couple seconds to get back up ( in the meantime, the thief he was chasing escapes and hides). The tripwire should be somewhat visible, but not too visible. If a guard should find the tripwire, he can destroy it by cutting it with a swing of his sword. The sword is the only way to get rid of it.
To sum it up, the reason for the tripwire is for the thief to make a clean getaway when being chased by a guard.

What does everyone think?

Very often we can see sth like http://pl.youtube.com/watch?v=szVTzgCd1DA (in the game guards do it faster- minimum twice). When we touch guard, he behaves normally but few seconds later we have the same situation.

As many of us know, this idea is not new.
Making your way through about 1 inch narrower passage than your hitbox was impossible and we sort of started to think of it as normal. Though this can hardly be so.
What about making it somehow possible to squeeze yourself temporarily slowing yourself down and maybe increasing other of your dimensions.

I had another thing on my mind and that's making crouched pawns actually a bit larger in diameter. Currently they simply shrink you... where does your body go then? When you connect the two ideas you would be able to pass tight and low spaces, it would, however, slow you down.

Opinions?

Somehow the mario does in addition to knocking a bot, and possibly a guard, out kill the thief performing it. Only attempted in single player, it was, however, repeated several times.

Backpedalling 100% efficient?

Are players supposed to be able to backpedal silently at full crouched speed? Maybe I'm just prematurely raising issues that don't touch us until we start testing in large numbers, but I'd like to pass on the idea about movement speeds to the devs again.
There's nothing inherently evil about it, what I'm doing basically is trying to spark up some discussion with more than 3 people involved. I'll try posting a separate thread if this here fails.

I believe devs would like to see some discussion and some opinions too.

Teambalance as a Ratio

The idea would mean that server could not only pick whether there is teambalance or not, but to be able to determine what kind of teambalance will be used.

Here I meant the ratio of Thieves to Guards, starting from one thief only through one guard only.

This did not happen in Thievery, just checking whether it is intentional.

KO'd a guard in Loki's house on the first floor. Looted the rest of it and went out the kitchen door. Came back in and the AI body was no longer KO'd where I left it. But instead I got shot with a bolt. Looking around for where it came from I saw nothing. Then I heard the drawing of the sword..and got hacked up.. yet no one was there.
