Ok, on some computers UT2k4 doesn't seem to set up Windows to recognise UT4mod files. To fix this:
And there you go (hopefully)!
- Open My Computer, and then in the menu select Tools->Folder Options...
- Choose the "File Types" tab.
- Find the ut4mod filetype. If it doesn't exist, click new and add it.
- After selecting the ut4mod filetype, click the "Advanced" button.
- Give it a name and set an icon if you like.
- Click "new..." to create a new action.
- Name the action "Install".
- For the "Application used to perform this action" box, enter:
"C:\MyUT2004InstallPath\System\setup.exe" install "%1"
(with quotes) - Ok your way back to the File Types menu. Then click "Advanced" again check to make sure the Install option is there (Tests showed windows tended to ignore the first time the option was added). If it is gone, re-add it .
And there you go (hopefully)!
