Installation Instructions (optional)
Method 1
- Download brutalcalibre.vpk file.
- Extract brutalcalibre.vpk to ...\swarm\addons
- Join a BrutalCalibre Server in New York, US or London,UK, server IPs here.
- Deactivate the mod when playing regular games in Options>addons through the in-game menu
Method 2
- Make a copy of your [Alien Swarm] Folder located in Drive:\...\Steam\steamapps\common\...
- Download brutalcalibre.vpk file.
- Extract brutalcalibre.vpk to ...\swarm\addons
- Start Steam
- Select Add a non-steam game to my library
- Select Swarm.exe from your new directory
- Select Add Selected Programs
- Right Click your new Alien Swarm Icon
- Select Properties
- Rename it to Alien Swarm [BrutalCalibre]
- Click that icon whenever you want to play this mod
- Join a BrutalCalibre Server in New York, US or London,UK, server IPs here.
Remember, if you choose to play on a normal server, select your regular Alien Swarm link in your library.

Intelligence Info
The Alien Queen has deployed hundreds of her elite units at each station preparing an attack from New York, US and London, UK.
Larger swarms, faster, tougher and more damaging units than normal are ready to strike. Intel has discovered a new unit, The Shaman which heals damaged alien units. Drones use abilities such as jumping over doors and devouring marines from beneath while crossfire inducing tactics of buzzers and parasites combine to make the chance of survival grim, indeed.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why do I need to make a copy of my Alien Swarm Directory?
- Adding these modded script files will cause a consistency error on un-modded servers. Have a separate installation and no worries.
Is it necessary to have the script files?
No, however...
- Sound of gun's fire rate will not match nor give the player an accurate sound of what is being shot.
- This is crucial to ammo conservation in tight corners i.e. holding off that 1 shot to take down the last of a swarm before reloading.
- I'm sure u want to hear the sound of your 3000 rpm autogun or AA-12 Vindicator.
- Modified weapon damage details and reload times are displayed correctly.
- For a better experience, plz follow the installation instructions at the start of this post.

Why aren't sentries and grenade launchers modded?
Storymode:
- The marines opted for increased mobility and carrying space. Their modded weapons surpassed any attempts to mod the sentries. Also, more carrying space.
Reality:
- The damage is coded into the game differently than other weapons.
- Unable to change by editing the script files.
