It is a mutator. Several methods can get it started. Look into the mutator thread (in the AS discussion section) to know more.


EDIT: Ah, just saw it is a question going more into details. Well, details of the Telic mut, so that is the place to look.

But to make it easier for you, the telic mutator, when active, adds a bunch of features that can be switched on/off independently.

So, once your game runs, type into console "mutate helmets" or something similar. Not sure if I remember that correctly, so consult the mutator's manual.

On third thought, it is only two campaign maps (Aquaeduct, Underneath) where the helmets make a difference. Of the custom maps, only Sulphure, iirc.
