    RIFT-Weapons Release

    Howdy folks,

    posted a public call a while ago, looking for someone competent and daring to take up this project where I was forced to give it up, simply because I don't have the necessary time and nerve any more. Work ate my life. Unfortunately it seems there's nobody with these qualifications around atm, so I am releasing this weapon pack to the public in it's current state (95% done, a couple of nasty online flaws), both source and compiled. Hope you can still squeeze some fun out of it 'till As:I is released. If anybody wants to put the finishing touches on this, feel free.

    PS: works just the same way EFR does, AoRiftCode.MutRift does the trick.

    I'm a noob

    Installed

    AoRiftCode.u to /AlienSwarm/System
    AoRiftTextures.utx to /AlienSwarm/Textures

    Add AoRiftCode.MutRift to start.batch Mutator=AoRiftCode.MutRift,...

    Added
    ServerPackages=AoRiftCode to alienswarm.ini


    but i get error on startup:

    Unknown Mutator in use: AoRiftCode.MutRift

    The mutator should work, that msg usualy appear when a .int file is missing. That file is needed to turn on or off the mutator via the web server, or see it via the mutator tab when you play a instant action game. If that file is missing and the server crash, the mutator will be disabled. I will install it the RIFT package later tonight, or probably tomorrow... Once setup, ill will create that .int needed and share it with all.

    Reading your hint i generated these

    AoRiftCode.int in /AlienSwarm/System


    [Public]
    Object=(Name=AoRiftCode.MutRift,class=class,MetaCl ass=Engine.Mutator,Description="Donators extended weapon mutator")

    now it works

    overload wont load in editor error is [bad expr token 03]and shows as a general protection fault within unrealed[cheers don i will try it,i hav just played it on robs server ]

    I think it requires AoRiftCode.u if I remember correctly. Won't do if you only have it in your cache.

    Most teams have the good sense to let the tech finish hacking the planet before they blow the missile.

    Exclamation Server crashes due to Rift Code Weapons

    UT-Server crashed a few times in a row. Then I just disabled the Rift-Code part via Webadmin, so that only Telic and EFR stuff was avialable and we had no more trouble.
    At the moment I would not recommand to use it on a "productive" machine.
    Guess Rob will "downgrade" to EFR-Mut. till its fixed.

    @Rob could you sent the logfile to Donator? Maybe he can have a look at it during his coffee break.
