Thread: Thievery 1.6 installation problems.

    Question Thievery 1.6 installation problems.

    Good day to all.

My apologies if this has been asked before. I have downloaded Thievery 1.6 successfully, but am having problems installing it. When it says where we want to install Thievery 1.6, I select the exact directory where UT2004 is installed. For me, it is [E:\Unreal2004\]

However, inside the Unreal2004 folder, there is an other folder called "UnrealTournament" which is located with UT2004's own game resources folders (Static Mesh, textures, System etc..). There are 3 folders inside "UnrealTournament" : "Thievery", "Help" and "System". Inside "System", there is the Thievery exe file which will be used to open Thievery. However, when I did this, it gave an error that Window.dll was missing. So I downloaded Window.dll and placed it in my WINDOW's system folder. Then after opening the same exe, it gave an error that a Core.dll was missing. I then copied the core.dll that was in UT2004's system folder and pasted in Thievery's system folder. Again, after opening, this time it said:

    ---------------------------------
ThAux.exe - Entry Point Not Found
    ---------------------------------
    _
    / \
    | X | The procedure entry point ?
    \ _ / appFromAnsi@@YAPBGPBD@Z could not be

located in the dynamic link library Core.dll.

    OK

So is there anyway to fix it?

Also, is my directory of installing Theivery 1.6 correct?

    Thanks for the reply.

Thievery is a mod for the original Unreal Tournament, not UT2004.

Well, I guess that explains it.

Is there going to be a UT2004 version mod?

Also, off-topic, if any of you know, there is another mod called "Monster Hunt". Is that for UT2004, or for UT99 also?

    Thanks for the replies.

The next thief-style mod will be Nightblade. It is "slated" for UT3.

All that MonsterHunt was ever good for was going against Monsters with Bots it's pretty pointless and mindless in multiplayer - also for the original UT.

For great UT2k4 mods my suggestions would be (rated from 1 a novelty to 5 must-have):
http://ludocraft.oulu.fi/airbuccaneers/ (1) Grab the SmartBot 0.4 from the forums by br
    as well ( http://reactor4.planetunreal.gamespy...373d8d229aa6f6 )

    http://www.deathball.net/ (5!)

http://files.filefront.com/UT+Revolu.../fileinfo.html (5!) Original UT's weapons and feel (and quite some map conversions) to UT2k4

http://unwheel.beyondunreal.com/ (2) needs motion blur support!

http://www.metaball.org (3) Marble Madness Great if you like dexterity and patience-demanding games

By chance anyone still has that somewhere?
I - alas - only could find version 0.2 with some custom map on mapraider.

(Yes, I know there now is a free Steam standalone version of it.)

This may or may not help you track it down if no one here has it.

The file you're looking for is called ABU-Smartbot04.rar

Originally hosted on http://www.kirmukarmu.com (closed) which hosted the ABU clan: Lair of The Lost Warriors of Kirmukarmu
    with the tag: {LWK}

The player you're looking for is called either Black-E, Black-Easterling or the-black-easterling (from The Netherlands/Holland says the old ABU forums) they made normal UT2004 maps as well as ABU and had an account on the epic forums (may still do).

You'd probably be best asking on beyondunreal or somewhere like that, but you might be lucky and find them on steam or somewhere.
