That's brilliant. Thinking of spiders, that would be great for an update of Th-asylum for NB.

The question is who will be brave enough to put it in game?

    Ooh wow, looks really good.

Just needs some tippy-tap-click-click-HISS sounds for the full yucky effect.

    nice model.

It would be cool to have passive AI for rats and spiders (small ones) to populate the maps.

Spiders, keeping it creepy since 20000 BC.

That is a spider not to be trifled with anytime soon

    Nice work
Give some taffer fire, and you'll keep him warm for the night with one less reason to cause trouble for the master.
Set a taffer on fire, and he will be warm for the rest of his life, and have no need to bother the master.

    OMG language! :O

The video won't play on this, my mum's computer. I blame AOL. Can I do that?

This reminds me of this important documentary on spiders:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sHzdsFiBbFc

And Machine, you have a Commodore 64? (Scarabeus) I thought I was the only one. We should form a club or something. "Hi, my name is Mark, and I was a Commodore 64 user."

Finally saw it on my computer. The video doesn't work in the AOL Media Player on this computer. Nice work! I'd love to see an Th-Asylum or Th-Spiders remake with these critters!

"Latrodectus Gigas, or the Giant Widow Spider, is a rare but deadly species of spider. They general grow to be about the size of a large dog, although stories tell of Giant Widows the size of a horse. They can occasionally be encountered within cities, living off of rats, dogs, street urchin and other vermin. Their urban habitat of choice appears to be the sewers, in particular beneath the homes of the upper class, where they devour the vermin that are attracted to the rich bounty of food in the mansion above. For this reason their presence is usually tolerated. They also provide another layer of defence against the more human vermin who may seek entry to a mansion from below...

Some individuals in the upper class have even been known to keep Giant Widows as pets, living artwork or subjects in the advancement of Natural Philosophy.

A Giant Widow's anatomy is similar to a normal spider, with the following exceptions..."

It's the spiders in Thief that were on my mind when I made up my SN. They're creepy but far more interesting than whistling guards so I'd get a little closer to their tap-tapping legs...

Sven Mynell's steaks for the win!

P.S. I just remembered...when I was probably 5 or 6 I had a book on spiders. It was a BIG (Time-Life?) picture book on spiders and I remember a greatly magnified picture of a wolf spider. I was fascinated with the pictures of these multi-eyed, hairy monsters, but I was afraid to put my hands on the pictures too close to their mouths....
