They make it sound like that's a bad thing!

I was really happy with the eye candy of Thief 3, a massive improvement over what I refer to as Eidos-headed characters in Thief and Thief 2. But the City seemed so much smaller than the older games

I would expect Thief to be based on Garrett's apprentice as well. If they use the Tomb Raider engine, I bet they give her Lara Croft boobs. Where do I get my advance copy???

But seriously, I hope Mage is right about it being great and all. Cuz if he's not, he'll be sent to Cragscleft Prison!

Id call some of the eye candy of T2 FMs an improvement over what i refer to as spit shine glossy seran wrap look of Thief 3 :p

Lets be real, Deus Ex and Thief are gone and over despite what moneygrabbing Frankensteins might wanna make believe. Just look at the last stitched together attempts

Thief 4 is NOT confirmed. Its hype, its hoopla, go google, rumors, etc. Thats it. I'm with you Schleicher on the T2 FM's.

Give some taffer fire, and you'll keep him warm for the night with one less reason to cause trouble for the master.
Set a taffer on fire, and he will be warm for the rest of his life, and have no need to bother the master.

I've got mixed feelings about it.

Most games today, same old thing, over and over again. I'm not excited either. I get afraid they'll screw it up. Of course, I will be curious what happens, and want to see it. I just don't have any hope for it.

I agree. I get about five seconds of excitement when I hear about something like this and then I forget about it and actively ignore all information until after release date. If it's a flop/canceled then I lose nothing and if it's a great game then it's still a great game when it's available for me to play and I didn't get my hopes up so it's a pleasant surprise.

I for one take great joy in seeing the fresh new ways developers fuck up even the most basic of game mechanics!

"Dude it's 3 weeks until the game goes gold, we should totally add a jet pack!"
"Bro you are totally correct! What trans-dimensional thief/cooking simulator would be complete without one!"
    ..it's safer here.

I have it installed but I haven't tried it yet. Looks like a huge TC.
