    Splinter Cell: Conviction. F&ckin Awesome!

    http://www.joystiq.com/2009/06/02/wa...ell-convictio/

All the fluidity of Assassin's Creed, a new sam fisher story, and some serious new gameplay concepts. Including an interrogation scene where you have full control of what you do to the guy.

Not bad, I've enjoyed the Splinter Cell Series so far, looking forward to this one too. I take it we're seeing it on the PC still?

Anybody else out there love Thief but can't stand SC or MGS? Also, can you beat the game without employing 'enhanced interrogation techniques'?

The first SC was kinda cool. Last time i replayed it i noticed its dorked for my shiny new card and doesnt display all that fancy lighting/shadows which looked so good back in the day anymore. Including searchlights, nya ._.

Guy i knew in school had the second one, looked zzz. Tested the third (i think) via special internet demo (hoho) was interesting at first but descended into sameyland too. Didnt bother anymore then.

Metal Gear? First yay, second pleh, third ok. Dont have PS3 no idea about four. Why is it called PS3? Because it has 3 games, ohohoho.

And why dont you like enhanced interrogation techniques, are you some kind of girly man? >:I

I liked Metal Gear Awesome..I mean the first one. I never played any of the others because I didn't like it that much.

Splinter Cell has had some good ideas and enjoyed a lot of DM on one of them (Chaos Theory). Liked things like the way they used voice comms but was ruined by the fact we always use Teamspeak so you couldn't eavesdrop. Wasn't so thrilled with the one after that and haven't really paid any attention since.

I'd put Chaos Theory back on purely for the MP if we had the numbers, it was excellent.

The third Splinter Cells multi player changed significantly, I didn't like this change, I wept for a number of hours.

It looks decent, I don't really like the objectives/story being projected on the walls though.

...I'm not sure we ever actually made it past that part, aside from finding innovative new ways to kill the vice president. I recommend jamming his head in the elevator door and watching the ragdoll spaz out.

I'm not sure why they're doing that... I'd understand an approach like that if they were trying to do a game without an interface (ala Dead Space) but they've already got a HUD. It just looks a little odd otherwise.

I heard Chaos Theory MP was good, and I'll never forget this:

despite the link title ruining a joke.

    On that topic..

    loved thief..
    loved mgs series
    loved thievery
hated chaos theory MP... no ambient lighting FTL! My eyes hurt so much trying to strain to see a glimpse of what i thought was somebody that I gave it up after a week.

Anyone interested can pick up splinter cell games cheap on steam until the end of the week.

Edit.. only original on steam and double agent.

Chaos Theory and Double Agent probably the two most worthwhile of picking up if you can get them.
I'd definitely be up for more chaos theory multi, just a shame it's limited to 2v2 with no spectators.

I bought Spellforce 2 which had it too because i thought i could install it and then just use a crack to get around installing it. Yea no, literally the first thing plopping up after you insert the CD is a "you must install this intrusive crap" window, no way around. Thanks for buying now bend over to receive a big ol fisting. I then bought the US version which didnt have it (why? because i liked the first one to bits). Turned out the game wasnt that great, unit max limits, tower max limits, you must play like this because we feel its more balanced HAHA PUNK'D.

Short story Starforce is evil and bad and eats babies.

It's a ghost half. You know, like a Dragon Half, but even more single-minded.

You surely have prior experience with the genre, considering how many nocturnal, open windows you've snuck through to pilfer BABIES.
