    LockPicking Games

What do you think is the best lock-picking (either closest to realism or the most fun) game out there on the market?

For example, how Oblivion has a lock-picking mini game you can do in order to pick a lock (Even though I think its more luck than skill involved with it :\ )

    Another Example (Fallout):

its not luck lol, once you work out the pattern its really easy i like the look of the fallout one, altho dont think they have screwdrivers in the thief age. the thief 3 ones suck, just use arrow keys and hold the one that makes a noise..

We actually considered this in promod, but you can't have a system that actively withdraws you from the game - it jars the user out of the regular Thievery experience and makes it difficult to check for nearby guards, and can interfere with escape.

You could do a very subtle pattern-based system that is a small transparent visual, though.

Yeah I thought that'd be awesome too in Thievery shug but then I thought the same thing- if u were souly focused on the lock-picking mini game you'd totally lose situational awareness on whats going around you more vs just holding a button while it auto picks but allowing you to maintain that awareness.

Keg: once you work out the pattern its really easy
You don't say? I might have to revisit the world of oblivion then and take a looksie. :3
Haven't played since the game was released XD (Which I spent my whole summer before 11th grade playing it o_o ) lol
