    Timer for pixing

If thief stopped pixing just before unlocking
    1) door won't be opened and won't reveal thief presence
    2) guard will see that door is still locked

    3) would be pointless as thief would still be either a) trapped inside, b) locked outside
    4) iirc there allready is a timer, so you can do that allready anyway
    5) stealing a key and locking the door behind you fools them much better

    3) my suggestion is for promoting stealth (as usually) and I can't understand your point here. i like to prepare doors for almost immediately entering, i like to outsmart guards who can't certainly understand what thief pixing now: that door or maybe something else?
    4) without timer i can accidentally unlock door
    5) what about a lot of locked things without keys for them?

    6) I'd like to see random times or even better unlocking based on experience.

    8) It was partly discussed in this topic: http://forums.blackcatgames.com/showthread.php?t=13390

    9) I agree that it would be a nice feature to have some advanced lockpicking

    10) but I cannot disagree with shug:

Bleh, it's should be easy! Just do not block movement while lockpicking, if thief would move too much from door then mini-lockpicking-game should gone.
You'd try to run away when you'd heard a footsteps not when you'd see a guard.
