    Thievery History

I've written a couple of sections of Thievery History for the Mockers website. Obviously it's from my perspective and that of the Mockers, so it's written from that angle, but hopefully it's of some interest to others.

There's more to come, but it seemed that if I waited until completion it would take years to put up. I have some other general stories about public play that feature non-mocker players that will also eventually go up, but there's very little currently.

Warning: there's a lot of text.

Did Eljoelio always play as El_Foolio for ATG/Mockers or did he revert to the name he's better known as?

Thievery's oldest guild, Tears of Blood
Technically, [E.D.G] are the oldest guild since the day tut was out we were playing with our [NAUC] clan tags, and we'd been on the go since before UT was even released

They were so rusty players and server admins that you CAN discount them? Oh!

It's inevitable that people will contend on these sorts of things, but ToB was the oldest unchanged name and tag so I'm content to give them the nod here

Crackazz were already well established as a Clan in other titles at the time they hit TuT, and it was only a small arm of Crackazz that ever did play. They never changed their name.

I have to admit I did suspect crackazz might be a bit bigger than just tut

so I'm content to give them the nod here
Shame DP doesn't sign on AIM enough these days to nod him in the direction of your articles too busy being a naval officer I guess

Grank himself indicated to me that ToB were older, so that factored in

And we are still around (sort of)
Give some taffer fire, and you'll keep him warm for the night with one less reason to cause trouble for the master.
Set a taffer on fire, and he will be warm for the rest of his life, and have no need to bother the master.

i still have my first "Tournament of Darkness" in mind, that was such a kewl weekend...
i feel pity, that i have stopped playing tut, but after i got so exited about a nightblade release i was realy sad, that it hasnt got released...
I missed the point, why there is no further developement on this project...
*a little punch to the devs... what about using "Kickstarter"? in the best case, try to develope nigtblade for u3 engine + the Oculus Rift.

Dudes, you will be the most famous gamedeveloper ever, if you would do this

Nice write up Shug. You missed the first guild match between TOB and Crackaz but since The Mockers weren't involved that was expected.

Deliberately skipped it because the quality of play was so poor

Is this a sign that you no longer must respect me because I don't control the only server you have a decent ping on?
