Alien Swarm: Reactive Drop - Worth it?

It's been a long time, I dug out this screen name from the catacombs of teenage me.

Anyways, there's a new Alien Swarm mod out on steam. As someone who LOVED 2k4, but was thoroughly disappointed with the Steam edition, is there any reason to love the new content? If there's been updates to the steam edition that has made it worthwhile since it's release, I'd be happy to find out. I uninstalled 1-2 months after it came out and haven't looked back.
