    Lack of Journal entries

I have noticed there haven't been any journal entries lately. Is work still being done on NightBlade, or has everyone pretty much given up because of school and reallife issues?

It'd be a waste to let this mod go a silent death.

Well hey, that's what we thought for a while and then oDDity busted out with a leet thief model.

And you know, what with Alien Swarm being rushed to make it in time for the MakeSomethingUnreal phases, well...

in other words forget like you've never heard about Nb cause it looks like its going to be release in 2006 , or you can just go get that team of people who are making that Alien Swarm re-make and get them to make Nb first so then it will look like BLG is copying them, lol

No, I was simply saying that they don't seem to update their journals, even though they do stuff. Also that Alien Swarm has taken greater priority recently, and so is worked on more.

Basically, there are 2 teams withing BCG. 1 team is working solely on NB, the other on AS. The only person that's really working on both, is Dalai. Though every now and then, someone might do a quick job for the other game. The 'official' testers also test both games.

Dont worry guys . We are still working hard on NB. Im just lazy to make new journal entries .

Due to pressure from Illuminus, here's what I've been up to:
Digging up voice actors, writting scripts for them, and trying to help create a background for all the factions...Does that really merit a journal entry?
It seems to me that would just discourage visits to the site...

Well, any kind of update is good, really. At least people know you are still working on it.

I'm not expecting entire stories or something, just a few quick notes so us humble fans know what's going on.

Then where's 1.5? By that standard, Alien Swarm is "done" too.

I would write more journal entries, but hearing about code is pretty uninteresting, no? Plus I've been kinda busy with uni, sadly. Still, I did make a nice pair of glowing eyes for shades today, needs a little bit of work though. I'ld post a pic but the shade still needs a bit of skinning. Plus the eyes seem to get doused by water, which is a bit of a problem.

Why is having the shades eyes getting doused by water a problem? Declare it a feature and make water arrows kill them. (otherwise they would shoot themselves with water arrows to dissapper in shadows)

There are no water arrows, this is when they go swimming. Although the not-crossing-water thing some undead have might make sense, but it would suck to die from falling into a bath.

And the other one has been missing since he went to have a bath?

Managed to get the eyes fixed, anyhow. Some dodge function of Epic's was supposed to remove all flame emitters from a player when they entered water, but actually stripped all non-blood emitters. Just spent a few moments adding new sounds for guard footsteps and adding support for custom materials so we can actually have carpet textures that make carpet-like sounds when stepped on.

See? There are interesting things to tell.

Now, instead of writing them down here, use the developpers journal. :p

yah, also in the mapping pack when you go third person pressing the right mouse button then press the console key and let go of RMB and press console key again you'll be in third person without having to hold anything down, when you do this go under water and you camera will go into "Lockcamera" mode, and you will be able to see youself swimming away from the camera , well i'm sure you guys have already found this thing or its just something wrong with the ScaleTest and the camera stuff could be in another file that you didn't want to give away

It's a trick. Since everyone uses crossbows, there will be water bolts.

Yea... thieves also have stink bombs now, releasing foul but deadly old sock fumes into the air rendering everyone in the vicinity unconscious......
