    E-mail time warp

Every e-mail I send or receive is timestamped 14 hours before it was written. This is causing me more then a little concern.

I have Kmail 4:3.3.1-3 running on a Mepis system (updated after I noticed the problem). I have checked all the system times for both operating systems, and in the BIOS. There is an external mail server (billiau.net) but nobody else connected to it is having the same problem.

    Any advice?

Timezone settings are the obvious culprate.

What happens if you send yourself an email?

Why don't you... decompile the program! -snikker-

Sounds like what Bill says, timezone setting on your machine, or the server?

I'm reasonably sure I have found all the timezone settings on my machine. The fact that e-mails to myself come with correct time seem to indicate this. But the admin on the server refuses to admit that it could be a server problem or do any sort of checking. The server is running a version of SME but I do not know much about it.

Fairly certain it's timezones, then. Make sure that your system is set correctly, and check your email client to see if it also needs to be set.
