The Son of Quote of the Week

We need new ones, so I guess we might as well start a new thread.

Also, to make sure there's no needless spam, everyone trying to be funny in this thread just to get himself into the QotW will be nuked from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

    Here's one:

<Nachimir> On the bright side, it's going to take a whole dev team to make an MP5 in 10 years, unless Will Wright develops a cunning way to generate them procedurally.
Ah, to be a hero. Keeping such company...

Keep silent unless you've got something to say that is better than keeping silent.

I'd like to know the context of that quote. What was Nach referring to when he said that?

A little pain never hurt anyone.
“That’s not what justice is,” the colonel jeered, and began pounding the table again with his big fat hand. “That’s what Karl Marx is. I’ll let you know what justice is. Justice is a knee in the gut from the floor.

We were discussing the increasingly detailed content used in games and how hard it'll become for a small team to create a game's worth of million poly meshes.

A game's success is based on it's gameplay, anyway. Eyecandy may help sell it, but you only get really popular online and a big community if your game runs on most of the hardware out there.

And to get back on topic:

            [00:00] <+H4x0rCr45h> sorry, Faith's hangar is closed.

            Slightly obscure, but damn funny.

Dalai covered the conversation, but in case you don't know, Will Wright is heading up the dev team for Spore, a pretty good talk on which can be found here.

Nah. That's not even a direct quote, I was paraphrasing.
