President Walken - 2008 (You heard it hear first!)

History says that the Christopher Walken for President Hoax was one of the best because of the actor’s fame. Several websites were built to lend authenticity to Walken’s supposed political campaign.

Could you imagine!? Every debate would be like an SNL Skit!
For those of you who don't know who he is, he is known for his interesting speaking patterns and because they think he is wacko. While he is kinda creepy, thats what sells him, and he's quite popular in a lot of movies:

    Wedding Crashers (Senator)
Catch me if you can (Leo's Dad)
    The RunDown (the bad guy)
    The Stepford Wives (Mike Wellington)
    Man on Fire (Rayburn)
    Joe Dirt (Clem)

Good to see he wants to turn things around, too bad its a hoax. But hey, I would have voted for him, just for the sake of hearing his speeches.

Walken for me is epitomised (sp?) in the Prophecy films in his role as the Archangel Gabriel (Vigo Mortensen aka Aragorn/Strider also appears as an excellent Lucifer), but is just totally excellent in every role he takes, even if the film itself is substandard. The scene (in Prophecy 3) where he's driving along with the top down playing his trumpet is just fantastic.
Other timeless classic Walken films include The Dead Zone.

I'd rather have minigun-toting Jesse Vent for pres...but then, as a Minnesotan sociopath, I admit my bias.

FUN FACT: The sister of a friend of my family once dated Mr. Walken.

I pretty much associate him with the Bond flick View to a Kill (and for that film, to Duran Duran's music )

There's an actual move for a presidential candidate over on Genmay.net. Apparently they're actuallly going to campaign to put him on the ballot.
