Mapping help

I learned about mapping from this site. It only covers UED2 though.

Exactly what happened to me - most of the creators think we know a basic of mapping. We dont.

It sounds more like laziness to me. You want the ability to make maps handed to you on a silver platter. Well here's some news for you: you won't be good at it immediately, and you will have to put lots of hours in - both to learn UED and to make maps. If you don't even have the commitment to find one the many tutorials available on the web and follow it through, then give up now.

Who are these tutorial creators aiming their tutorials at if they aren't aiming them at people who don't know basic mapping? People who already know how to map? That would be a bit pointless. They are aimed at people who want to learn how to map; if one seems too complex, find another.

Unreal is so confusing compared to Quake3E (Including Source / Doom)

but thats probably because i know Q3E and havent learned Unreal hah
