Thread: Telic Bug?

    Telic Bug?

I might've run into a bug with the Telic campaign.

Every time I fire, it's acting as a "fire toggle" switch. As in, click once and watch my marine start chewing through a magazine, and click again to get him to stop.

Odd thing is that it's happening with every weapon, not just the new ones, and it's only doing it to me on Telic.

    Any suggestions?

    Reinstall!

If problem persists - Reinstall UT* too.

If problem still persists Resinstall UT2004 Aswell

    *You may not own it

Try to re-set the binds, in the menu you can press backspace to clear a field, do that for fire.

    Is the problem Telic specific?

Hello Shub, this is the Telic Error Wizard.

At the Telic Corporation we take bug reports very seriously. A detailed record of every bug is stored in a database, together with the name of the person that reported the bug. Later on, the bug and the person who reported it are eliminated.

    Here are some suggestions:

    1.
Clean your mouse until it isn't dirty.

    2.
Try deleting the ini file, start the game again and see if the problem persists. If it doesn't then the problem is solved.

    3.
Sprinkle some windex on the computer and shout "The Power of Bill Gates Compels you!" seven times.

Was doing some stuff to see what kinda factors are goin' on with the "Sticky Trigger-Finger" bug I seem to be having.

    1. It is a Telic-only bug I've experienced.

    2. It doesn't happen every time I fire, but just off-and-on.

    3. It's not weapon-specific with any particular gun. All of them do it.

Which .ini file should I delete, Butters? I'm gonna try to give that a go.

The Windex + chant sounds like the best thing to do.

Why am I suddenly filled with an impending sense of dread, having been a Betatester for Telic?

I wouldn't worry, if you are 'eliminated', it won't be for your five mins of beta testing.

Actually, I think between me and UArch, we put in the most testing time for Telic, despite the fact I was intarwebless for about 6 weeks at least and unable to test.

I totally didn't see that coming. I needed it, but I didn't exactly enjoy every minute of it.
