    Problems...

I installed Thievery, and the map pack.
I began Theivery, then when I went online I found 2 servers that had no players. Is this gametype dead? I didn't have the maps either, so I couldn't join the servers. Then I tried to play single player, I started a map called Chat Space, then my computer froze and I had no choice to reboot my CPU.
Does anyone play this game anymore?

Yes about 10 hours ago there were half a dozen or so of us online. Weekends Europe time are the biggest, sometimes weeknights (Australian night, Europe day time) there are players. It is divided by timezone but I thihnk it's mostly Euros that play so you have to schedule your times around them.

I'm going to chime in here and add that Thievery's peak is well past. There are still people playing, but not nearly what it was a year or so ago.

And as far as i've heard, Chat Space and a couple others are rather unusual and aren't proper Thievery maps. I'd just avoid those, try some of the official maps.

Asylum, Gerome, Grange, Nostalgia, Skeletstonhead, HighwayInn, Korman I think are the main ones.

BTW Thievery is unlike other games in that an optimal number of players on a server is 6-8.

darkend enlightment is another well played map -

Lt unreal - what ever time you made this post - load thievery about 4 hours before and there is normally people online - as firetiger and convict said - thievery is well past its peak but theres still a number of people who play regually at a similar time most days.

its best to check the servers every so often because in the space of ten minutes a server can go from no players to 8 players - there are two server monitors you can download (that i know of) for free that tell you whos online without having to load up thievery - when i find the links i'll post them here (unless someone else beats me to it)

edit - first two posts in this thread has links to both server monitors http://forums.blackcatgames.com/showthread.php?t=7905

Use Bandit's server browser to check the servers:

Try using the shoutbox that's located at the bottom of th BCG forum page. Or let us know you're going online 1-2 hours in advance. See you online today/night.

Yeah, you have to PM Modetwo and ask for access to the shoutbox. It's potentially very useful but is more of an IRC thing (but we still love it!)
