The creatures definitions themselves export embedded in images, so you can take, say, this LongCat image and import it into the Creature Editor or Spore itself.

This is my favorite so far.

It's a rolled-up armadillo. He needs to traverse a Rube Goldberg physics puzzle in order to reach the magical portal that will send him home.

How is it physically possible for these things to build houses? they lack opposable thumbs and even arms proper.

So, trying to make the creature a centauroid makes their shoulders sway in a gelatin-like fashion when they walk.

You'd think the devs would catch something like that.

It can take a bit of fiddling to get a creature working smoothly. Worth noting that parts behave differently depending on what is attached to them.

Luckily or otherwise the full version of the Creature Creator cannot be purchased from Australia.

Managed to get it anyway, right before yet another digital distribution site was locked down to Australians.

    Here's one for Hybrid:

It's part of the conspiracy to charge Australian's more for everything, methinks. A new game in Australia used to be around the $80 mark while US games were around US$50, which was fine when the aussie dollar was around 55c US. Now they cost $90-100, while US games are still around US$50, and the aussie dollar is often worth over 90c US.

Which makes Steam really good, except where the individual companies involved have decided to increase the price or not distribute to Australia. Which is why I can't purchase Beyond Good and Evil on Steam. :x

    I'm ok with that....

Reporting you to the Aus Criminal Council..... in the name of the continuation of Nightblade instead of making new crazy monsters that might bleed over to NB... just what we need... a new guard model with a tiger claw coming out of his head, and an elephant trunk coming out of his arm.

If you go to another planet and blow it up with your UFO (see the first trailer), will the other player lose his/her civilization too? I ask since it downloads the data it said but I don't know if it uploads the outcome and sends the outcome back to the other player.

    It's a single-player game, man.

But while we're on the topic, will Spore have a monthly fee??

There are other repercussions to the weakened US-dollar that could be in your favor.

Spore is a single player game. It allows a player to control the evolution of species from its beginnings as a unicellular organism. The music of this game is very excellent. I like this game very much.

It allows a player to control the evolution of a species from its beginnings as a unicellular organism, through development as an intelligent and social creature, to interstellar exploration as a cheap reseller webhosting culture. The procedurally-generated music for the game is being designed by Brian Eno, an artist famous for his work with ambient music.
    ..it's safer here.

Although there is actually a procedural music editor to allow players to design their own city theme.
