    Counter-op

    Ok heres just a sugjustion that me and quite a few others would like, intead of only co-op MP there should be a competive MP mode, seeing as how DM and CTF wouldn't work (well they could but it's not what AS is about) there should be a counter op mode, where the 2nd player (or team) controls the monsters.

    I believe this was theorised and temporarily implemented when the game was in version 1.0 production, and deemed un-viable?

    Like a top-down Natural Selection, eh?

    I've said this before, but personally I just want AS:I to be released. I'm sure that all suggestions of extra gameplay modes, marine classes, vehicles, additional plot lines, etc. are submitted with good intentions, but ultimately they would just delay the release of a game that we all know will be good even if it were only a graphical update of ASw (I know it's a bit more than that). Furthermore, I wouldn't want BCG to miss the bandwagon on the HL2 engine with a delayed release and since HL2 has been out for a while now, the clock is ticking in that regard.

    Yes, it's been mentioned a few times in the past. There's a class in one of the Alien Swarm packages or maps called AoOverlord or something that was left over from it.

    Yes... we had a couple of ideas for Overlord. But it'd looked like it'd require as much work as developing the singleplayer campaign.
    We'll have to see what the future brings.

    all i can say is make it MMORPG with missions like instances in WoW there you got the pvp and the bugslaying adventure in one.
