real gluttons for punishment aren't you, but you've made a mistake, for as Antero90 showed you, Flats was given to ToB just under an hour BEFORE you psoted your challenge, so I guess LR better change this challenge to -X- v ToB. 8) have fun against ToB, -X-

Challenge issued by okih: Wed Apr 21, 2004 8:42 pm
Flats gifted to ToB by DT: Thu Apr 22, 2004 12:41 am

Now, those dates/times may vary depending on where in the world you are (those are based on my timezone), but any way you look at it, the challenge occured first. Unless someone can demonstrate that a public announcement of Flats being gifted to ToB occurred before the challenge, it's going to have to be considered a forfeit by CoD, and Flats is going to have to go to -X-.

Im almost certain that CoD was going to give Flats by the same time they had donated Folly since the decision to go inactive had been taken.
This all happened on Sunday and Monday but im not 100% sure of it and I have no acess to the guild's forums since I left.

According to Chapter III, Line A, Paragraph 2:
Challenges made to the Donor prior to the donation have to be resolved first, in case the donated map is stolen.

This is what happens when Chief gets too lazy to post updates

uhmm LR, according to my TuT forum it says the following:

Okih Posted: Thu Apr 22, 2004 1:42 am

and then (like yours)

Flats gifted to ToB by DT: Thu Apr 22, 2004 12:41 am

As you can see to me, it says DT posted before Okih, so as far as i'm concerned (because ive gone inactive ) i'd say the challenge should be against ToB. (though I also want to see -X- suffer against ToB, but that's just me 8) )

Anyway as to Antero's cruel remark, Flats was DT's to post about, not me being too lazy to update. It was only fair that as [E.D.G] had been mine when we got folly, and flats came from DhaThief's [KYO] that we each gave away our map to who we wanted it to go to

I have no answer for why your times differ from mine. However, I do remember reading okih's challenge at a time prior to any post by DT. Since all evidence I have indicates the challenge was made prior to giving the map to ToB, I have to assume the challenge stands, and that CoD's dropping out of TW results in a forfeit of that map to -X-.

we may be able to make another last 2v2 match, as long as it's agreed that the moment we win the map (we're sure of ourselves  ) the map becomes ToB's so -X- can't immediately log on the forums and challenge us again. Is that agreeable LR?

sure i dont mind a last TW match before the break

I still think ToB should take on the challenge since its their map.

and we need to win only as thief or guard.

It's not ToB's map. It's CoD's map, and it's under challenge from X, and has been since prior to when CoD attempted to give it to ToB. If CoD defends it successfully, it's theirs to gift to ToB. If CoD doesn't, it becomes X's map.

i said ok to play the match...

but since you insist :
Its still make no sens because CoD is going inactive :
-we could as well merge with ToB
-ToB players play the match
-Break as CoD again and then go inactive

omg loop hole

CoD, are you going to play the match as you stated, or do I rule a forfeit in favor of X?

 you've had plenty of time to talk on msn (or to get Equity to talk) and you havn't.
The last couple of days my computer corrupted itself (twice !!!!!! ) so hadn't noticed your posts, and I've been busy. But it all depends on when DT can play, I havn't been online for 2 days so havn't been in contact with him.
I also don't remember the TW rules having any time period in which challenges have to be played

Anytime this week after I've finished d/ling Thievery (lost all my backup install files ) is okay for me, but as mentioned it all depends on DT. Bug Equity to go on msn more and we can arrange things better (as I'll know when DT is online).

Anyway get in touch with ]>CoD<[ Skal and he'll finalise dates and times.

oh and DT left this message:
 Quote:
tell LR that we are ready to play but X is pushing it back.
oh and at best we can manage 2v2

You mean you can't do a 3 v 3? :\ Ok ok! I will talk to creator but he wanted a 3 v 3. I'll try to reason with him. He thought for some reason that if we challenged you to a 3v3 and you didn't have 3, you would forfeit. But I am all for the 2v2. I'll talk to him.

I have no idea where you got that from - we could have put 3, 4 men into the field against TSG but were forced to play a 2 v 2 due to their lower numbers.

Yes but you COULD have said you didn't want to play with 2, as you did originally decide on 3. Not sure what the rules contain for this happening consistantly with 1 guild.

Taken from TurfWars 2.3 Rules:

5. The number of players on each side in a match must be equal. The minimum player amount is 2 on each side. Each round both guilds will have to agree if they want more players in game.
6. If either guild is able to provide only one player, he will have to face two opponents. If both guilds can provide only one player, it will be a one-on-one match.

So no, Mach, the rules indicate there was nothing we could do about the player numbers.

Did they change them? O_o I could have sworn...Ah nevermind. I didn't think a forfeit would be honorable anyways.
