I don't have a lot of free time, but I don't want to see M stroll away with a forfeit.

Post times that you can do this and I'll see what I can do.

I think on a weekend (friday/saturday/sunday) pretty much any time. We've gotten up at 5am before for a match. Only nights would work for a friday (cos of school for our lads), saturday preferably not at night because I have people to see and things to drink; sundays any time. All this @ +10 GMT.

Also phae, I'll respond to your post in the Official TurfWars thread here: even if you can't "speak" for your guild, at least some kind of acknowledgement would have worked for me. Anyway, here we are so it doesn't matter.

edit: detail

How about next Sunday, the 8th at 20:00 GMT.

That would be 6:00 in the morning on Monday the 9th for you. Would that work for you?

I still have to get comfirmation from Omega that this time will work for him, but if it doesn't work for you then I don't need his comfirmation at all.

Thanks for you patience,
Biohazard

It's probably unlikely. Considering that a proper war could carry on for as long as 120 minutes plus map-change times, late starts, the possibilty of server crashes... anybody that goes to school or work on a Monday won't be able to play, which rules out a significant proportion of our team. Plus another two guys that would otherwise be free currently are literally incapable of playing for various reasons.

I am, however, interested in knowing that you can definitely produce a team of 3 players at another given date?

I am available for the time suggested, I also appreaciate how difficult it is to organise a time. However instead of going 8:00pm meaning 6:00am for us, why not go later, say 11:00pm meaning 9:00am for us. (the reason being that it is easier to stay up late than get up early :lol . Of course this won't work for the date you are preposing because of school starting back for some of our guild.

We'll have a team.

Looks like we're going to have to push this off until the week after next however.

I presume you're speaking for yourself only, Bio? Will two other TSG members have seen those times?

We'll have two members. Omega can't get TUT to work with Linux, and mOdEtWo is serving his military time.

Just for the record:

 Quote:
From TurfWars Rules 2.3: Match - negotiable rules:

6. If either guild is able to provide only one player, he will have to face two opponents. If both guilds can provide only one player, it will be a one-on-one match.
So then, it is possible, though not preferable I would imagine, for this match to be one-on-one. I would recommend, however, Bio, that you make damn sure your guildmate is present, or else you'll have to solo against two opponents.

Pending any further negotiation, of course. This match is a long time in the works, and :M: seems to have been willing and open to negotiate since January. Keep in mind that they declared their intent to request a ruling for a TSG forfeit back then, so I think that whatever date is declared be final and do-able.

Each team is also supposed to provide a spectator as well, though precedent has been set for spectators outside the guild playing. That should be subject to approval by the opposing guild, though.

Timeout here...

That sounds like a questionable practice to be endorsing, doesn't it? It sounds like a loophole to me. And whom is the spectator supposed to be then, at least according to precedent?

Playing or just spectating? I'm confused here.

Spectating for a team. I've spectated a number of TurfWars matches for teams other than CTG.

Essentially, the spectator for a team is supposed to keep an eye on the other team, and make sure they're not cheating or any such. As long as both teams trust the assigned spectator to do this, there's no real problem with a spectator for a tem not being a member of that team.

So, does this mean the match will end up being a 2 vs 2 ?

I don't believe we have a problem with this spectator issue... do we?...

LaughingRat, could we possibly partake of the hospitality of your server at this time?
