Voice on Rob's does not work

last days there was the question about voice chat on Rob's. It is enabled but does not work.

Any idea to solve the prolem?

Check to see if you're running Pestcontrol's old voip fix mutator.

In version 1.2 of ASw, the voip was broken in the sense that players weren't automatically in the public channel. We got around that by using the console command "speak public" to join the public channel. Pestcontrol decided to make a useful mutator that would cause players to auto-join the public channel. However, BCG fixed the voip in the 1.3 patch, so now Pestcontrol's mutator causes players to leave the public channel.

Last time I was on your server (I think when we were discussing this) we were able to get the voip working by using the "speak public" command.

If i put "speak public" at console I get:

"DIESER KANAL IST UNGÜLTIG ODER KONNTE NICHT GEFUNDEN WERDEN: ' PUBLIC' "

Yes i have a German Version Running..

Is there a way to get "speak public" as a server-default?

Not as a server default, but you can set a default channel to join in your voice options in the audio settings menu i.e. "Public".

It doesn't look like the voip fix mut is running. Can you use that same server to host normal UT2k4 and see if the voip works in that?
