UT3 Patch 2.0 & Titan Pack released.

For anyone who hasn't already noticed, Epic have now released the UT3 2.0 patch (with better mod support) along with the titan pack.

http://www.beyondunreal.com/

Titans in NB !

* hehehehheheheeeee MUAHAHAHHAHAHAH WAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAA *cough* heh heh hmm ... *

Note: Looks like it's changed too much for the NB code base, and thus NB doesn't want to run on it (or isnt for me at any rate).

How about a newly compiled alpha bcg?

Yeah, I'll be chucking one up over the next couple of days. At least, assuming I can get my hands on the patch.

Weird thing is, if you load up NB-Ued, and load a map in there, you can play through UEd.

The -mod command has been completely overhauled in the new patch, so at the very least that is playing havoc with the old version. I'm surprised you can play with UT3Ed though, as the script files are incompatible with the patched UT3 scripts.

I was even more surprised at being able to load any maps from nb and... another gametype let alone play 'em.

Now I get to hope for all the thievery ai code ripped out and a direct build off ut3's ai in the next release (Did you know if you give the ut3 AI, night-blade bows and arrows they'll run amok using them properly as a human would? I found that interesting and quite fun - especially when the bow was 0.0001% the size of their hand, and give them a crossbow and it's 200% larger than their entire bodies ).

Fucker had me enter my damn CD key again, then reset my gamegestapo password again since i naturally forgot that.

Didnt notice any great differences, played only a quick botmatch on Turbine (wootles) tho. Browser seems more responsive and faster. We should do a BCG Invasion.

PS : Compared to Quake Live it looks really really busy, all those nookies and pipes and whatnot everywhere :b

Actually I had a weird gamespy login error, on 2.0 trying to log in it claimed my password was too short or long for this account.

Since it was auto-remember pw I dunno what it was going on about, but it logged in fine the second time.

Count yourselves lucky, I'm still about 15% done downloading the patch, it must have been running on and off for nearly ten hours already! (yes, I set the correct download location, it was about 3 countries and an ocean the wrong way by default)

I tried out one match late Saturday night and it was confusing but fun.. lots of people on as well. Would be interesting to see how many are left now that the free weekend ended.

BTW.. you and your filthy timezone. I would have accepted your "challenge" if i was not for the fact that i was fast asleep .

I fired it up after the patch finally finished and it feels a great deal more fluid than I remember. I was a bit disappointed by the achievements though, there wasn't anything imaginative it was just 'Get x kills of a certain type' or 'Play every level with your wang hanging out of your pants'. I prefer the achievements that are a nice little challenge to try to make you push yourself or do something different, the ones that are basically measurements on the epeen scale don't hold any interest. If I'm that awesome at the game I don't need achievements to prove it I'll just frag you repeatedly until you quit/cry.
