A bit of an update at whats happening at the moment, or not as it may be, as it seems that work on the campaign has slowed down conciderably recently, and as far as I know exams seem to be a big culprit.

Hopefully things should pick up a bit in the next few weeks and maybe some new updates! Hooray!

We are still in (desperate) need for someone to help the campaign along in the form of a coder, to put inplace some of the awesome features that should be featuring in Corvus, especcialy now UArch has been doing..something else.. god knows what these days.

Oyé! Oyé! Corvus ass shaking!
UArch fixed mostly all the problems related with the Corvus core. The last package is on the FTP. The included .txt explain the lastets fix. The package include all the last files (we lost 2 hours this morning just to regroup last ones and discard hold ones! ). UArch actually clean it up (yup, it became a real junkyard!).

Well after lots of inactivity, i have ironed out a few tiny errors in map one, and will be releasing AO-CV1-Infiltration sometime this week, AO-CV2-Security will follow. This map was made by mjrhurtz, and then left for around a year maybe 2, i have made a few tiny un-noticable alterations and fixes. Before anyone complains that the map is a little easy on normal difficulty, take into account that it is the first map in an intended 5 map campaign.

Since their are no screenies avaliable at this time, for indications of quality look at the phalanx campaign.

Current bugs with Security:

Too easy.


Looking to host 15 meg.

After bringing in a few testers, we have concluded that the map is tooooooooo easy, and going to add a few more without overdoing it, and the hack is easy too. Delaying 2 weeks.

www.alienswarm.de can host it too.

Did a few tests today. I have a good idea about what needs to be done right now.

1.) Close the door to the hive. Activate it with a button on the outsidespot after the tripmines (the dead guy with the hunter)

2.) Make the single objectives clearer in the objectives screen and show it when they are done

3.) Make the Hack more leathal (indef. spawn) and increase the monsters in the hive after the hack

4.) Maybe dont spawn any monsters till you repair the ship, then let hell break loose.

5.) Add some tougher monsters at strategic points like gimbs or uebers

Well, I can show you what I mean, the next time we play together

4. The ship is on the apposing side of the map too the start, this isnt the second alien film!
5. on it(ok ok, these will all start appearing after tthe ship is repaired.)



As it stands, this camp is 3 maps, 2 finished and one inbetween that im throwing brushes at atm,

Though, they dont fit together. Journey and Stargate have a similar look and feel.

The corvus maps look like Phalanx on a planet.

Cool to see you decided to release the 3 first map of the Corvus. I just hope you based your fix on the last bundle; "corvcamp_alpha4.rar"

If not, you probably have few bugged texture, and one of the 2 special gun that came with the campaign dont work properly. Arch did a fix to the code on the last alpha.
