    Titles in Post Match Screen

So I'm spending this week primarily working on the end game screen, and I was wondering what titles people might like to see? Both names and/or what must be done to earn them.

The ones I've done thus far are:

    Title: Fat Cat
    Team: Thief
Description: Deposited over half the loot in the map.

    Title: Master Thief
    Team: Thief
Description: Deposited the loot goal with 0 deaths.

    Title: Sleep Doctor
    Team: Thief
Description: Most KOs, at least 5

    Title: Blood Thirsty
    Team: Guard
Description: High Damage to kill ratio.

    Title: Thieves Bane
    Team: Guard
Description: Killed over half the thief lives.

If we can ignore the silly manner of typing I had back then, might I reference this thread? V-Twelveus had a list of some prudent suggestions there, although I'm sure the "Score ±x" can be safely ignored.

I always thought it'd be neat to go in a somewhat different direction and give a single description of the role the player seemed most attuned to on that level. You'd always get one, but never more than one per map. For example:

    Thieves
Guard bait: Died a lot without gaining much loot.
Lookout: Didn't really seem to do much of anything, but at least didn't die.
Bruiser: Blackjacked a lot; little loot.
Assassin: Killed a lot; little loot.
Ghost: Looted a lot; harmed nobody.
Opportunist: Looted, killing/KOing a lot in the process.
Lieutenant: Did decently in looting/taking out guards, but under another top-performing thief.

And then some unordinary ones could be fun to get when you fill a niche role.

Sniper-Distractor: Used a large number of arrows; high damage/hits; few actual kills.
Kamikaze Maniac: High number of kills; many deaths to match.
Maybe something for looting over 50% of the map's loot after all teammates have died, and winning.

Now, I don't know how practical that is. Obviously, it can't be perfectly accurate because the game can't always tell what you're doing. And the things in question would have to be kept track of (so it's logistically hard for the game to realize that you lockpicked many mines and blew up many guards with them).

I'd like to see some of them all the same, to recognize excellent displays of skill, such as "ghost" as stated above, or "sniper" for slaying an inordinately high number of guards with few lives/arrows.

It would be a pretty major feat for a thief to kill a guard at all the way things are currently structured. Unless there is a super special way to kill a guard with water arrows, vine arrows and a blackjack that does no damage that I'm not aware of.

Perhaps KO the guard, tie him up and drown him with water?

Anyway, score is not going to be repeated. I will quite readily admit I cannot codify a players actions into a number that reflects their true performance.

Thanks for that Hybrid, lots of ideas from there.

Yeah, was a shame you removed the ability to kick ragdolls about, like into water

I'd have said Master Thief should mean they never alerted AI ever/ stealth and keeping in shadows. The greatest thief the world has never seen, and all that

Well, the way I've set up the Ghoster title is you have to receive no damage, deal no damage, KO no guards, kill no guards, never die and deposit at least 25% of the loot.

You can of course get both.

They can still steal mines, can't they?

thats abit harsh for my taste.. i totally understand that you cannot deal dmg, KO/kill guards, deposit at least 25% loot (maybe a minimum of 25% with both loot and O's together maybe?) but RECEIVE no dmg? >,> i understand that you cannot die tho, but you can still be a ghoster if you took a hit or two? maybe have 2 different ghost titles instead?:

Ghoster = no dealt dmg. no ko's/kills. 25% loot/O's. never die.

Master Ghoster = no dealt dmg. no received dmg. no ko's/kills. 25% loot/O's. (do i need to mention never die when you cant even reveive dmg)

i just find the "receive dmg" quite too "hardcore" lol XD

I agree that prestigious titles should be staggered somewhat. The Ghoster / Master Ghoster suggestion would be good, as would having Thieves' Bane for 50% thieves killed (Uncommon, but possible), and Thieves' Nightmare for 100% thieves killed (nigh impossible, as you can imagine, but cool when achieved).

While it's important to acknowledge the skilful players, perhaps you could add some titles to encourage the less experienced:

                          Title: Voyeur
                          Team: Thief
Description: Most time spent aimlessly observing from a remote part of the map.

                          Title: Discombubulated
                          Team: Thief/Guard
Description: Attributed to player experiencing Flats for the first time.

                          Title: Hypertension
                          Team: Thief
Description: Granted to any thief purchasing a sword in retaliation to seemingly invincible guards.

                          Title: Vertigo
                          Team: Guard
                          Description: Circle-strafe victim.

Don't forget that someone has to code the titles. For some reason it doesn't sound easy to check if someone has been circle-strafed.....
