Was there anything not to refer to? Except the quote i guess but i have been wondering why Orgy doesnt write in italics for quite some time now actually, so...

Question still stands. Roughly a day later! Is this how you treat potential future customers? Pff.

Its a bit to early to discuss distribution, really need the game first eh . Online distribution is less expensive and easier handle.. which is why its so appealing.

And no, you cant have my Bon Jovi CD's.. its mine i tell you, MINE!

Hm? Ah yes. Distribution is whatever Epic organise, basically - we're as much in the dark about the details as ye are.

have some question'bout music, it will be like in thievery? Just short loop reminds all the time, or maybe dynamic music, when u sneak around, the music is not chaotic, ambient maybe, and when u see enemy, and enemy attacks u, music changes to action part, with faster themes and so...

Be nice if it would work, but really how would it? How would the guard/ other nightblade client know that the other nightblade/guard client were in view or attacking each other? Think about it...

The only ways I can think of a way around this is-

Location: Music is more tense, and uptempo in the areas your really not meant to be.

Visibility: is there a way to somehow change the clients music dependant on how visible you are?

Attacked/ Attacking: When you are attacked or start attacking, is there a way to change the client-side music then? Perhaps 10 - 20 seconds after stopping either the music returns to ambiant/ whatever it was before.

nothing is imposable, but i think my suggestion will be not important for developers - cuz it takse more tame, to work on dynamic music, and maybe they will find it useless...

...the hell?

Anyway, after thinking about it, music can be included with the map so will this even be a job for the development? Or a job for mappers?

Well, a bit of both. It's probably best to let the mappers select the music for their map, and then the coders would need to code whatever dynamic system mixes the music the mappers have selected... although I would be inclined not to put too much effort into a dynamic music system because serious players probably play with the music switched off anyway.

hehe, doesnt metter for me, just find when do music for game - then dynamic, cuz its not TuT, and it should make differents, or just no music, saving time for game creation.

Almost like in Guild Wars (anyone notice it?) guild wars also does something like this, when your fighting in elona you get the bongo drums and what not playing all fast, but when you are running around its quiet and like soft playing music

Well, a developers basically said there is no point spending to much time on this anyway, as hardcore players probably wont bother with the music.

...now if there was a single player campaign....

I wouldn't really care about the music if it meant I can't hear my enemies. I always played with it off in Thievery. Even if it were scored by Trent Reznor or bauhaus I'd only play it long enough to hear the tunes, but I'd switch it off whenever playing online.

Are the guys who did the 'breakbeat' music for the Thief cutscenes and intro movies unreachable? Even though their music seemed very modern, it didn't seem to clash with the game. Which is more than I can say for "Ladyhawk". OMG...if you want to see how badly a movie can be scored, rent that one.

Will we encounter any novel weapon mechanics, such as these?

Realism is often a clumsy reference to "consequences of choices", which ergo makes choices meaningful.

For example, in Alien Swarm, you can carry only two weapons and an item or two. You could argue this is realistic; but it's gameplay effect is to make your choices meaningful, compared to if every marine could carry every weapon and item.

Hm. Apart from that, "Loot Magnet" is certainly interesting...

It would certainly make a fine companion to Garret's T3 shinning loot companion.
