alpha releases question

When downloading the alpha releases, do we have to d/l each one? Meaning if I miss one does the next one upgrade everything to the latest release or do I have to d/l each alpha release to stay current? Sorry if this is a stupid question but I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere.

No offense, but if its all the same to you, I would like a response from one of the dev team.
Unless of course you want to be offended, in which case, by all means go ahead.

Btw: I will not stop being a noob. I've always been a noob and probably always will be.
Ghostly, a noob since the mid 1960's, and proud of it.

Each release is stand alone. In fact, I recommend removing the previous release before installing the new release.

I might fall back to fortnightly or monthly releases soon.

I think it's best to not be as frequent as now. It's hard keeping up, especially for those hosting the game servers. I'd vote for once a month.

nooo keep em coming. It doesn't take much, just drag the files from the zip and overwrite the existing.

I'd say the most limiting factor at the moment is the Guard and Guard Animations... this goose stepping thing just isn't working, and they need some sort of animation to show they got hurt so you can tell if an arrow hit them or not. If we could get them animated right we could almost be ready for some online gaming.

Why would you need an animation to tell if a guard was hit with an arrow or not? What are you firing at them, vine arrows?

I'm actually going to add a server option to remove the AI and give guards a normal lives system instead, so that human only games can be played. This should help avoid the AI inadequacies until they can be overhauled.

cuz its retarded to walk around getting stuff thrown at you and not flinching... Even Superman would flinch when the gun was thrown at him.... after all the bullets just bounced off of him.

Having the guards flinch when hit (even if no damage is done) will give a way for the players to see if AI was shot/hit either out of lack of knowlage or just to play with the minds of human guards.
Unless some arrows might have other properties when getting directly struck by them (moss/vine) in which case an all togather new animation is needed.

But updating once or twice a month would be a better idea because right now updates seem to happen only for a few things that got changes since the last release. On the other hand, when less things get added per update, people will focus more of their attention on these things and the chance to find flaws in the new things increases.
