Anyone fancy the arguably pointless task of checking which maps are no longer avaliable for direct download? I guess that involves only checking on www.alienswarm.deAlien Swarm Map ListComment

Hey people...
Now with the steam release of Alien Swarm I'm in the mood to play the Ut04 version again. I think that the UT version is the better version it has at least more maps. But every single dl link seems to be broken.. Are there any mirrors or plans to reupload the maps & campaigns again?
It would be a shame if the great work of the people is lost in nomansland. I remember that there were many great campaigns available.
So far I've found only a working dl link for the Phoenix campaign on fileplanet. The rest seems dead.Comment

PM Rob or Felix on these forums. They've disabled downloads on alienswarm.de temporarily because of high traffic, but they should be able to help you.Comment

Looks like I'm not the only one who's got a new appetite for the original bug hunt. I played Phalanx and Upsilon back in the day, but my friends weren't interested in ASw anymore by the time Telic came out. Now it's time to rectify that mistake.
For what it's worth, games.on.net has working downloads for all the bonus campaigns:
What I want to know, are there any outstanding single maps that aren't included in Upsilon? I'd rather have some community feedback before I try stuff at random. Is there a consensus on the top 5 or so?Comment

The Telic Campaign is a must, maybe the most-played campaign. Escape-from-Rhea (Telic 2) is good, too, but even harder. (Note that classic swarm has other standards of difficulty...)
There are some very good single maps, like eg Ao-Sulphure-SE. Some funny experimental stuff too, like BehemothTournament or Pacman.Comment
