  • Firebolt limit

Currently, some people who care nothing about enjoying the game are buying 6 firebolt loadouts, spamming a huge area, in the hope that it will light up a thief near some uber AI, then deliberately running around shadow slashing, so they can be ko'd, only to get a new loadout.

I voted yes, and I'm in the RLF!

      Take that, CrouchingDork.

      I wouldn't mind a 1 firebolt limit either.

        LOL @ Slappy!

OK, to be honest, I'm not sure where the entire RLF gets the reputation for being firespammers. I rarely see most of them shoot a fire bolt at all.

              No.

If you want guards to take less firebolts, make them cost more. An artificial limit is a clunky way to achieve it.

In that case, why are thieves limited in invis/speed?

So people like you don't use them to KO the whole freaking team instead of getting objectives.

Beats me. I don't think that using it to KO the guards would be particularly efficient. Wasting firebolts only works because the guards currently get so many resurrections. I'm all for the devs taking off the limit and seeing what happens.

I don't give a damn about the potion limit: I never buy more then one speed/invis, or more then 2 flashes.

                      I was just giving a counter-example.

                        My Solution:
                        Firebolts should...
                        • Do more damage.
                        • Continue burning on thieves for less time.

Good suggestion. Since we allready have tag arrows to give away thieves, the firebolt should be there for massive damage. Burn time could be only a second or so, but the initial explosion should do 50-60 damage.

And if it's overpowered, up the price to 150 banked loot.

Yes, firebolts should do at least double the damage, but only light thieves of fire that are close to the center of the blast area. Right now you burn just as much if the firearrow hits 3 metres away from you than if it hit you directly. If you get hit directly, you should burn for maybe 4 seconds, and down to 0 at about half or 2/3 the explosion radius.
