Currently, some people who care nothing about enjoying the game are buying 6 firebolt loadouts, spamming a huge area, in the hope that it will light up a thief near some uber AI, then deliberately running around shadow slashing, so they can be ko'd, only to get a new loadout.

If you want guards to take less firebolts, make them cost more. An artificial limit is a clunky way to achieve it.

Yes, firebolts should do at least double the damage, but only light thieves of fire that are close to the center of the blast area. Right now you burn just as much if the firearrow hits 3 metres away from you than if it hit you directly. If you get hit directly, you should burn for maybe 4 seconds, and down to 0 at about half or 2/3 the explosion radius.]V[]V[
