Hello people ... just wanting to warn you for the new BugBear virus.
It's quite dangerous ... so have a look here:

On demand this signature has been changed. I hope nobody was insulted or got harmed due to my signature. If this is the case, I'm fully responsible for the harm that was done. Do you feel harmed or you simply want a listening ear?

Is this a new one? I though Bugbear had been out for a while. Got this in an email just earlier this week. Claimed it was from Fisher Scientific Supply.

Bugbear is not new, but this may be a new variation on the original one.

Two days ago my neighbours work was taken out by this virus, and they had their antivirus up to date.

Weird. I first received this at work, through my personal email (webmail client). I thought it was suspicious, so didn't open it or respond. When I DL'd it at home, Norton caught it right away.

What antivirus were they using? And exactly how up to date was it?

                    MY computer needs condoms.

not the one i'm typing on, but another of mine recieved the bug via a lan party.

use firewalls and multiple virus checkers.

                    and BACKUP ALL FILES!

I think it was a case of virus being out before the definitions. From what I understand their sysadmin updates the systems weekly.

Still odd. My antivirus caught it.

Damn right. Mine caught it, theirs didn't. Their network went completely down because of it, mine didn't so much as sniffle. That's the measure of good antivirus software.

                              I don't need Anti-Virus software ...
