I had this crazy idea some time ago when someone asked about what mario meant.
Now, and just a few hours away from celebrating TUT's 1st aniversary it might be fun, after sharing some dusty memories (hey! why cant I be on Leatherman's Server as well? ) it might be an interesting exercise to collect some of the expressions used in TUT.
Since this thread will lack any alphabethic organisation be free to post any term oin any order, as long as it is real.

I will start with the most notorious one

BAND - to band, the act of band, to instantly deny someone's capability to play on a server or post in the threads by the godlike use of a buttom (i think). Ex. "OMG BAND!", "You are BAND".

    LR - see LaughingRat

    CD - see CrouchingDork

Mario - to mario, being marioed - a feature in Theivery that allows guards and theives to instantly ko (kill in the case of guards) an opponent by landing on his/her head from a high height. The term comes from the nintendo plataform game where its main character Super Mario used to land on his enemies to splat them.

Spider - 1) a non player controlable creature in the Theivery universe. They are three varieties of spider: the red spiders which are hostile towards all players (guards and thieves); the blue spiders that follow the guards and help them hunting thieves; the green spider which is very big and is also hostile towards all players. 2) short term for the level TH-Spider
note: Some players call the green spider "Big Daddy"

There are also some very small green spiders in TH-Asylum, and some crystalline ones in TH-Arachnophobia.

Go collect an agreed on definition of ghosting and DMing...

      And then BJ, KO, etc...
      The only constant is change.
(And I wouldn't have it any other way.)

Actually, guards can damage thieves without killing them if the drop isn't too big.

There's your answer to what happened on that round in Gerome during practice, CD. You were hurting after that mine hit and a couple sword swings, the damage done must have finished you off.
