  • Chainsaws' Thievery Tool - Official Release

    Ok, it's here:
    Chainsaws' Thievery Tool

Future updates will be available from:

If you didn't catch the other thread it's a tool that (for now) will edit your loadout names without you having to do any ini file editing. I'm going to add some more features shortly so any requests/comments are appreciated.

NB: You must run the file in your UT/SYSTEM directory for it to work at present.
Also, make a backup of your THLoadouts.ini file before you use this program (I think it's foolproof but you don't want to have to reinstall TUT do you? )

The next version will probably have auto-backup of edited files and a checkbox for your visibility %. Nice simple stuff that I probably can't break

I'd advice to throw in some more functionality before making a public release. Too many releases with little changes end up boring the user and not catching their attention. The visibility meter option is a great option to start with, though.

Also, doesn't mean that you cannot make several "in between" testing releases for beta testers to try.

        Keep up the good work!

          Good idea Mr.K.

Would the guys who already tested it for me before mind styaing as beta-testers for new versions or would someone else like to volunteer?

Since I never look at my loadouts, this tool is useless to me.

I have Thievery installed 3 times (so I can keep a 1.2 version, then a development version and then a testing version). Bizarrely, this program works fine on two of the copies, but on one of them it quits complaining that it can't find the ThLoadouts.ini, even though the file is there.

No wonder everyone kicks your butt all over TUT.

Ok, Perhaps it's possible to change the message that appears when you buy a particular loadout, so instead of "Loadout 1 bought" is would say "Regular Thief Loadout bought" or "Sniper loadout Bought".

I'm like Eric, I never actually LOOK at my loadouts I just whack a key and go.

If possible , add a usable loadout text storing dozens of TH precision equipments... so that you'd have to push a key in-game to cycle through loadouts

It's not case sensitive (I just checked)....just out of curiosity, which version doesn't work?

No, I just have all my loadouts memorized, so I hit the button. This allows me to rush the objectives, which is the reason I'm often the first person to have loot on any given map.
