phpBB and InvisionBoard are both free and excellent. They require PHP 4 and mySQL to be installed, of course.

Go for phpBB, same forum-software as they use here. Free of charge, of course.

Wowzers!! Watch out for the postwhores on that forum! Geesh If you want to postwhore, i suggest Opera. I don't have Opera, but it took me FOREVER to postwhore with those darned pop-ups
