  • A wonderful moment...

Tis' snowing here in Vancouver - something quite surprising for me. Haven't had snow last year, and the year before that, we had a little bit of muck. Fortunately, I've mistaken this time.

Nothing can compare to sitting in a darkened room, with a burning fireplace, immediately after the last glimpse of daylight passes, as tiny, nearly invisible at this light snowflakes fall. It almost feels like the air itself is faintly glowing.

"And there's simply no place to go... Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow."

Hoping none of you will be shoveling the stuff tomorrow, though.

As for me, I'm going to sit back, and enjoy the few minutes of dusk.

We do have mountains, you know...

Oh, incidently, I am against the olympics. Since the new highways to the said mountains are going to be built through the small town I live in, we are going to be paying a good portion of the bill. (And suffer through the noise).

However, all the money will go to the more centrally located city of Vancouver. My peace and quiet (And taxes) for money going into another city's economy... Hrm...

it hasn't snowed here since winter break started. How ironic.

I have to agree though.. nothing does compare to just sitting in a darkened room in front of a fire.

Add in the "fog" caused by falling snow, and we are set.

We had one good snow that allowed for one day of snowboarding, but other than that it's been green. I envy you Swiss Chesse.

                DAMN YOU GREAT LAKES!

It never snows here in Texas, so screw all of you!

Although we do get the occasional hail or freezing rain......

It was my understanding that it does snow in Texas, but very rarely, and that everyone was too afraid to go outside when it did.

                        Double post alert LR.

Was sitting here getting ready to watch the rose parade on tv and heard a jet outside. So went out to see, and the stealth Fighters went right over my house
on the way to flyover the rose parade. Awesome!

I can understand you so clearly, Swiss. The atmosphere in those moments is so light, peaceful...

actually, it did snow last year. 2 inches i believe. And 12 deaths in car accidents.
