  • Thievery fear of mine

Ok, this may just be me being irrational, but this is something I have been thinking about a lot.

I used to play Counterstrike a LOT. I was in a ranked competative clan. That game was the greatest multiplayer game around.... UNTIL they started 'balancing' it to appease the whiney-bitches out there.

Oh my god the (insert gun here) is too powerful. Please nerf it!

Granted it started to get a lot worse when CS went retail (I am sure they lost some of the original creativity in the process), but the fact remains that in the process of 'balancing' the game they made it not fun at all.

I really do not want to see TUT go the same way. Not saying it will, but I thought I would bring this up anyway.[/i]

I agree. Developers need to remember to make the game fun instead of listening to gamers.

Hahaha, I suggest editing your post, Ericsir. The devs NEED the gamers to make the game fun.

That's funny. I always thought of it as they nerfed one gun, then another became overpowered...

I'm still waiting for them to nerf the AWP so I can rule the world with the scout...

Good point. But I think Dalai and the other dev's handle this in a great way.

              I don't think you have to worry about it . . .

The AWP was nerfed. It used to be one-shot-one-kill. Now it is not (or was not the last time I played > 6 months ago).

I really love what has been done with Thievery so far, and I fervently hope that it only gets better.

                  *sniff*

Remember, this is just a beta game, they WANT our help.
                  The only constant is change.
(And I wouldn't have it any other way.)

No, I said EXACTLY what I meant to say -- the developers need to make the game not for the gamers, but for themselves. If they listen to what the gamers want we'll end up with crap.

You know, I was going to disagree with this. Then I read through the suggestion forum.

i think after 1.3 everything should be balanced enough and we can have 1.4 and on patches be just new maps and maybe extra cool features like being able to play blackjack with someone while spectating (blackjack...hahaha...it would go great)

See? (Although I guess a few people did think that "pee break guards" was a good idea...)
