Several of us are playing Grange just a few minutes ago. We'd done a good job of trapping and defending the map and things were going pretty good.
Suddenly [Thief Name] dies, and then wins about 60 seconds later. What did he admit to doing? Well, he had 740 loot, no supplies and was low on health. He suicided in an out of the way spot, collected the loot, invoked the loot respawn bug, and then ran past the guards at the exit with an invis/catwalk/speed combo.
What a nice way to avoid those nasty guards.
What a nice way to circumvent carefully placed traps.
What a nice way to avoid teamwork and cooperation.
What a nice way to be an ass.
Makes me wonder why such a person even plays online? You'd think they could suicide/loot respawn/ko AI in a single player game. Since all this person ever does is KO AI's and invoke bugs to win why even play online?
Am I angry?
Yes.
I'm angry that one asshole can throw a wrench into teamwork and purposely invoke a bug in order to effect a "win". This coward wasn't relying on stealth, cunning, or skill. He relied on respawning loot in some out of the way location to turn his 740 investment into the 800 he needed to win.
So the unnamed thief gets "Lamer of the Year" award for doing everything they can to exploit a great MOD. Good thing they won it this year, because when 1.3 comes out he'll likely be one of the first to leave. With no bugs left to exploit how will he survive?
