  • What kind of missions do you want?

A simple enough question. What kind of missions would you like to see? What kind of things would you like to have in a mission? Do you like trying to go 'after the prized [whatever]', or would you prefer strait looting? Its open ended really, just tell me what your fantasy mission would be like.

I like it when you have to get multiple objectives (like 5 evidences whatever). That's why I love Aquatone.

What I miss, is a real bankjob, with a vault. But I think someone is working on that, right?

A bigass city where you can go thru the streets or across the rooves (like Flats), but where you can enter many more buildings (like Skeltston), disturb sleeping people, grab loot, and do anything you want.

Hmmm... I like the idea. "Free Thieving Mode" or something like that.

Something like the city in "Life of Party", Thief 2.

I love all the talk of civillians and guards, especially the 4 archers killing eachother after an argument about who's Lady is worst

Life of the Party was a brillant level - or at least the city part was brilliant. The jumping from roof to roof really got your adrenaline going.

The best part was about the guy complaining to his wife about not being invited to the party, when in actuality, it was lost. HAHA.

I wanna see a big city mission. Where almost every you can enter and explore. However to achieve balance non of the guards can be blackjacked. If they are the thief automatically dies. So stealth would be the key. Make the loot be high requirement. Then you add like 20 guards I guess. It would be challenging and fun. You can also add special stores with loot and supplies. Also secrets in the starting thief area like garret's secret closet in thief 2 .

A big city is not THAT necessary. What I think adds a greater level of playability, is 3 elevation levels - you can travel on the ground, through buildings - leaping from window to window, or on the rooftops. I also want to see some areas that will only be acsessable by thieves in 1.3 - if the map takes that long.

                      My map ideas:

                      (a) The guards have to protect an object that is "on patrol". Perhaps a merchant going from store to store, or a priest slowly making his evening rounds to bless the homes of his parishoners. The patrolling object would have the non-loot objective (the merchant's purse, the priest's bejewelled staff, etc.)

                      (b) A Romeo and Juliet take-off where the two teams are Capulets and Montegues, with the thieves trying to get Romeo to Juliet

                      (c) A silly map with Lego textures and Lego character skins (this is already done for UT, but not terribly well).

So thats it? Just a few ideas? Comeon people, I need more than that. Personally, I like missions with optional sidequests to help me finish the map, such as releasing the spiders in TH-Spiders.

I'd post my idea, but I wouldn't want to be accused of "cryptic postwhoring" again....
