  • Hall Of Fame...

I'm making a website, and I'm including a Hall of Fame.. The Hall of Fame will include the Best Guard Players and The best Thief Players.
So I need the Community to come up with worthy candidates
After Some players are mentioned I'll put up a poll and we will see who's gonna be put in and those who are not gonna be put in. When mentioning players please tell me if their best at guarding or thiefing, or all-rounder. If you don't want to put up your candidate here, please pm me.

    Thank you for your time..

I use to be quite a thief. Rushing was my speciality. Once I defeated 5 guards in breakout on my own. Please consider Unstoppable even though he does not play anymore. Wasn't too shabby of a guard neither. Swiss Mercenary is a great dmer.

Some but definatly not all, of the best players around these days, participated in the last ToD tournament, you could check the team lists for inspiration.

Mad Gerbil for best fire-spammer yay!

Don't forget Fridae for guarding either.

Firetiger isn't only a non-subtle thief, he's the most relentless guard EVER. If he sees you once, your minutes are numbered.

                              Mocker Affirmation time, bitches

First off - this post will be huge. I'd like to talk about a few players here, using a little scale of 1 - 10 (highest) I put together. Here it is:

                              Thief Criteria
                              Skill
                              - DMing (BJ, bow, sword or combo thereof)
                              - Stealth (remaining undetected)
                              - Movement (agility, evasion)
                              Mental Aspect
                              - Game awareness (evaluating situation and planning ad-lib)
                              - Clutch (ability to win a round as the last thief)
                              - Teamwork (co-ordinating with teammates)

                              Guard Criteria
                              Skill
                              - Anti-DMing (surviving the mayhem of all types of DM)
                              - Thief-finding (uncovering thieves, esp. ghosters)
                              - Accuracy (xbow AND melee weapon accuracy)
                              Mental Aspect
                              - Game awareness (being a step ahead of the thief team)
                              - Clutch (being able to secure a key objective or finish a round)
                              - Teamwork (working with teammates, and directing)

To give you an idea of how the system works, I'll demo it on a couple of recognizeable players who could be deemed good (or even above average!) but not the best of the best.
                              Chalrif!
                              Thief
                              DM: 6.5/10
                              Stealth: 7.9/10
                              Movement: 6.8/10
                              Game Awareness: 8.7/10
                              Clutch: 7.2/10
                              Teamwork: 8.9/10

                              Fat Rat Head
                              Guard
                              Anti-DM: 6/10
                              Thief-finding: 6/10
                              Accuracy: 6.5/10
                              Awareness: 6.7/10
                              Clutch: 5/10
                              Teamwork: 6.9/10

With that in mind, Shug's pick of the Lot:
                              -Thieves-
                              Rodent
                              DM: 9
                              Stealth: 9.1
                              Movement: 9.5
                              Awareness: 9.3
                              Clutch: 9.8
                              Teamwork: 7
Notes: Probably the best all-round thief in the game. Sharp movement and clarity of thought in the heat of battle make Rodent a VERY dangerous opponent. Unfortunately, he often lets his communication slip as a result.

                              Dragon
                              DM: 6
                              Stealth: 9.7
                              Movement: 9.3
                              Awareness: 9.5
                              Clutch: 9.9
                              Teamwork: 9 (estimate)
Notes: TUT's most famous ghoster. Freakish game awareness, abnormal stealth and a clutch bordering on the unnatural. Only his DM stat lets him down (by choice, it would seem).

                              Louie
                              DM: 7.5
                              Stealth: 9
                              Movement: 10
                              Awareness: 9.2
                              Clutch: 9.3
                              Teamwork: 6
Notes: Louie often forgoes stealth for movement - and it's easy to see why. Truly the most agile thief in the game. His DM suffers due to KOing-only tendencies, and his preference for one-man crusading leads to lower teamwork.

                              Gladius
                              DM: 6.5
                              Stealth: 9.6
                              Movement: 8.6
                              Awareness: 9
                              Clutch: 9.2
                              Teamwork: 9.2
Notes: Serially underrated thief. Stealth of a ghoster, awareness of a Captain and a real team player. A quiet achiever capable of incredible finishing moves.

                              TheMachine
                              DM: 8.5
                              Stealth: 8.8
                              Movement: 8.9
                              Awareness: 9
                              Clutch: 8.7
                              Teamwork: 9.6
Notes: Machine - jack of all trades, master of a couple? Certainly one of the best utility players going around. Awesome teamwork and a high level of game awareness make Machine a terrific team player and a man for any task.

                              -Guards-
                              StarWhores
                              Anti-DM: 9.9
                              Thief-finding: 9.2
                              Accuracy: 9.5
                              Awareness: 8
                              Clutch: 9.2
                              Teamwork: 5.5
Notes: The quintessential Anti-DM guard. Whores is a dangerous man off his leash. His skill with the guard arsenal is legendary, but is let down slightly by his habit of stuffing around and lack of teamwork. Watch out for the CHARGED MACE AAAaaaghghggha

                              FireTiger
                              Anti-DM: 9.5
                              Thief-finding: 9.4
                              Accuracy: 9.6
                              Awareness: 8.5
                              Clutch: 9.4
                              Teamwork: 8.9
Notes: A team-playing Whores - scary. Some of the sharpest shooting you're likely to see with an xbow, coupled with an iron grip on his sword. Watch those tag bolts - all the way into your body.

                              Jester
                              Anti-DM: 9.4
                              Thief-finding: 8.7
                              Accuracy: 9.5
                              Awareness: 8.3
                              Clutch: 8.3
                              Teamwork: 8.7
Notes: Jester, a tough old campaigner. Slipped slightly in his dotage but don't let that lull you into a false sense of security - one of the fastest xbows in the west. A man you can send into a task with confidence.

                              Lurox
                              Anti-DM: 9.3
                              Thief-finding: 9.2
                              Accuracy: 9.3
                              Awareness: 8.8
                              Clutch: 8.7
                              Teamwork: 8.5
Notes: One-man army with his skilled weapon handling. Slight tendency to go a-roaming, but that is his forte and as long as he has some direction (and someone's holding the fort) he can have a strong impact on the game.
