Argh!
I just got my completly new computer, installs UT only to get this bloody error... again!
This is the exact same error i got on my 2½ year old pc... Only they have nothing in common cept for the UT disc.
What could be wrong? This is an original UT G.O.T.Y cd, and the cd doesnt appear to have a single scratch.
Note, i got this error after a clean install of UT and this error is when i run UT, altough i get a similar message when starting Thievery.
The really weird part is that i can start the game by adding a map name to the commandline when i start it, altough it behaves very weird ingame. The brightness is set to max when i get in, and it takes a screenshot everytime it's loading...
Of course i can still play, but it's bloody annoying... Any ideas?
Edit:
Here's my new and old specs:
Old:
P3 800mhz
128mb Sdram
Soundblaster Live value
Geforce 256 sdr
And bla bla...
New one:
P4 2.4b ghz @2.53ghz
512 ddr400 ram
Ati Radeon 9700pro
Audigy 2
Soltek mainboard.
More Edit:
Come to think of it, the only thing i moved was my logitech wireless keyboard... And the problem started back when i got it... Guess im going to have to try that out.
But a keyboard being able to screw up a game?! Weird...
Damn you Logitech
