  • Semi OT: Favorite T1/T2 Fan Missions

What is everyone's favorite Thief1 and Thief2 FMs? The most memorable ones I have played are:

    Thief:
Calendra's Cistern - Ruled! Huge level. Had a shop where you could buy items with money you stole mid-mission. Tons of loot to find, yet was still placed cleverly and tastefully. Good story.

    Thief2:

Calendra's Legacy - Huge levels. A bit frustrating at parts, but still fun. Great atmosphere and story.

    CoSaS Mission 1

Art of Thievery - Huge mansion with loads of entry points.

Keeper of the Prophesies: Book 1 - Cool story, lots of scripted scenes, voice acting by BrokenArts! But having a time limit in both missions kinda sucks, IMO. Fun missions, nonetheless.

    (AKA Dresden)
Despite all my rage, I am still just a dwarf in a cage.

Why thanks Neo. That was fun to do. I agree with the choices so far. Anything by the author Christine. She is VERY good. The attention to detail is so very well done.

Also Sledge's Inverted Manse, is scary cool. The latest one I have played, and had a kick ass time with is, "A Brawl in the Tomb" The archietexture, is a little lacking, but, the fight scenes are INCREDIBLE. There are sooo many fight scene's, he out did himself on that. The way the difference factions come together to ward off EVAL! Go play that one, it's loads of fun.

Apache's 4 mission pack, he is sadistic on some of the stuff he pulls.

        Will add more.

Anyone remember the one where you have to stop the assassin from killing your employer? And as you go through, you catch glimpses of the assassin? What was that one called? It was very good.

I also love the one where you get to go down into the huge Keeper Compound under the City. The one with the succubus at the end. Which one is that? I'll have to play it again.

Anybody could post links to these? I usually find meself finding dead ends, closed servers etc...

I've played Manse, found it quite dull really.

I also played that one with the "Don't be seen at all"-objective on Expert (tend to BJ everything if not on expert  What's it called? You walk through the sewers and there are "things, children that are dead" as the sewerman describes them.

                        Good stuff, anyway

Anybody point me out some good FM's? They shouldn't be about ghosts and stuff, I don't like them, in fact, I find 'em boring (the Trail of Blood mission got quite annoying i e) "Flats"/City-missions, rather, not "follow the letter" missions, also pretty annoying after the first 15 minutes

I don't think any FM maker has made a rooftop type mission. They are probobly quite hard to make.

As for places to download from:

And oh yeah, there is a bit of rooftop action in Calendra's Cistern, but it's mostly ground level city and interior stuff. But you HAVE to play it at least once. Its one of those rare ones that I play more than once or twice in a blue moon, because there's always something new and strange to find that you never noticed before.
